Two costs are published months ahead and never compared with each other: the lift pass and the transfer from the airport. Together they are what a ski week costs before you have booked a bed — from £319 (Sauze d'Oulx from Turin) to £497 (Val d'Isère from Geneva).

Converted at the European Central Bank's reference rate for 18 August 2026: €1 = £0.8558, CHF 1 = £0.9099. Reference rates, not the rate anyone actually gets. A card payment abroad costs the interbank rate plus the issuer's own margin, so treat every converted figure as the floor. Rates move daily; this one is the ECB's published rate for 2026-08-18.
Flights, accommodation, food, lessons and hire. Not because they do not matter — they are most of the bill — but because none of them is published in a form that can be compared across resorts months ahead. The two figures here are, so these are the two figures here. An "average week in resort" number would drown both in an estimate.
ZRH → Laax — Laax publishes no six-day lift pass price that could be read.
GVA → Verbier — the quoted CHF 475 is a private vehicle door to door, not a per-person fare.
GVA → Crans-Montana — the quoted CHF 6.80 covers only the Sierre to Crans-Montana leg, not the journey from Geneva.
SOF → Borovets — Borovets publishes no six-day lift pass price that could be read.
Each of these has a real published number attached to it. None of them is the number this table compares, so using them would make the ranking wrong in a way nobody could see.
Lift passes from each resort's own price list and transfers from each operator's own booking site, read 19 August 2026 and linked on every route page.
Lift passes and transfer fares read 19 August 2026 from the resorts' and operators' own pages. Converted at the European Central Bank's reference rate for 18 August 2026; rates move, and a card payment abroad costs more than the reference rate.
